I was invited to work alongside Bath based artist and illustrator Jess Palmer at Bath City Farm as part of Forest of Imagination 2020.
Jess is building a magnificent Woodland Understory out of paper - check it out on Twitter.
She also made this beautiful collage of the farm.
Sadly the government lockdown means that the farm is closed and Forest of Imagination has moved online.
The three workshops are available here on the website. Little ones (ages 4-7) can print out a PDF of animal shapes and use the pictures of animals to help them write a shape, outline or word-counting poem.
Ages 7-11 can try an animal haiku, using the wonderful A-Z of British Wildlife in Haiku by Will Harper-Penrose for inspiration.
Ages 11-16 are invited to get inside the mind of a bee and explore the flowers, plants and medicinal herbs of the farm and see how author Laline Paull explores the world of Flora717 in her brilliant book The Bees.

Everyone at Bath City Farm, Forest of Imagination and here, at Room to Write, would love to see what you write. Take a photograph of your poems and post them on Twitter. Don't forget to use the hashtags #ForestOfImagination #HouseOfImagination #BathCityFarm.
